I have been competing in triathlons since 1991 and have participated in many races offered in the Chicagoland/Midwest area from sprint to Ironman levels. I started racing the Ironman distance in 2005. I’m working my way through the North American Ironman race series and have completed Ironmans Wisconsin, Canada, Lake Placid, Arizona, Florida, Couer d’Alene, Texas, and Mont Tremblant. 2013 will see me doing Louisville. If you’re considering one of these races and make my opinions, contact me and I’ll be happy to share my thoughts .
I’ve done the Chicago Marathon and numerous other running events and am actively involved with the Elmhurst Running Club , and the Elmhurst Bicycle Club and West Suburban Multisport. If you ever want to meet and/or workout with me, you can find me coaching running groups out of The Runner’s Soul on Monday and Wednesday nights, coaching Master’s Swimming at York High School over the winter months, and leading a Thursday night brick workout at York Woods in the Spring and Summer months.
I’ve been a USAT certified triathlon coach since 2005 and in 2012 became an American Swim Coaches Association level 2 coach. I am one of the founding members and current president of the Elmhurst Triathlon Club.
I have a strong interest in helping others to pursue and further their goals in multisports. Whether you’re looking at doing your first triathlon or looking to take on an Ironman, I’ll work with you to make it a memorable experience. I enjoy both helping the first-timer prepare to complete their first open water swim with minimal anxiety as well as help the experienced triathlete sharpen their skills.
